UNITE and Baldwin Wallace University Announce Partnership to Improve University and Corporate Engagement
UNITE, a training/consulting/technology company, and Baldwin Wallace University today announced their partnership which will accelerate the efforts of Baldwin Wallace’s newly launched Office for Corporate and Organizational Engagement.
The newly established Office for Corporate and Organizational Engagement is the next step in Baldwin Wallace’s strategic initiative that gives partners direct access to an expanded portfolio of campus resources that offer targeted solutions for organizations, municipalities and companies. “BW has longstanding successful programs that support businesses,” says Lacey Kogelnik, executive director of the new Center. “Now, we are working with outside consultants (UNITE) and an internal team to set up a new process that makes the experience of accessing our programs and services better for business.”
Holistic relationship management of corporate partnerships is a challenge in higher education. The silos and shared governance structures at universities can make partnering with companies a systemic challenge. “At UNITE, we recognized this challenge and built the pieces necessary to help university/industry partnership thrive,” says Christy Bertolo, co-founder of UNITE. “We designed a proven process and valuation tool when we led the corporate engagement work at The Ohio State University. We are excited to partner with a university like Baldwin Wallace that sees the value in win-win corporate partnerships.”
The newly formed Office for Corporate and Organizational Engagement is a high priority initiative for Baldwin Wallace’s President Bob Helmer, PhD, who aims to redefine university-organizational partnerships and expand BW’s position as an essential partner in the economic and community development of Northeast Ohio and beyond. “What we’ve found in working with our corporate partners through the years is that they may know about BW’s digital marketing center or our professional development or other specific experts or services, but they don’t have a comprehensive view of all the University has to offer and no single point of access,” said Helmer. “We’re out to change that. Partnering with BW is about to be even easier and more beneficial for businesses.”
The partnership between UNITE and Baldwin Wallace will be one year in duration and launched in January 2022.
